Privacy Policy — Home or Hospital

Last updated: 19 June 2026

Home or Hospital ("the app", "we", "KRDL Solutions") is an educational first-aid and triage reference, with an optional on-device tool to help you contact the right care. This policy explains what data the app handles and what leaves your device.

The short version

Home or Hospital is built to keep your information on your device. We operate no server that receives your health information, your profiles, your location, or the messages you send. Your medical profiles and case details stay on your phone and are shared only when you choose to send a message through your phone's own Messages or Mail app.

Information stored on your device (not collected by us)

If you use the optional "share a case" feature, you can create and save:

These are stored only on your device using your operating system's secure storage (Keychain on iOS / Keystore on Android). We have no access to them and do not transmit them to our servers — we operate none. Deleting a profile, or uninstalling the app, removes this data.

Location

When you ask the app to find nearby care or to prepare an emergency message, the app uses your device's location. If you are online, your location is sent to Google Maps Platform (Places) to confirm the nearest facility is open and current. Google processes your location as our service provider, on our behalf, solely to provide this lookup — it is not a sale or a sharing of your data for Google's own purposes. Google's processing is governed by the Google Maps Platform Service Specific Terms and the Google Privacy Policy. We store only a facility's identifier (place_id). We do not send your location to any server we operate, and we never use your location for advertising or analytics. You can deny location access; the app then uses a cached list of facilities and marks results as not live-validated.

Sending messages (native hand-off)

When you send a case to a facility, your doctor, or a contact, the app pre-fills your phone's own Messages or Mail app (or dialer); you review and tap send. The message is delivered by your phone and your carrier or mail provider — not by us. This is a system-level action that you initiate; we do not transmit or receive the message. Standard text messages and email are not end-to-end encrypted. We minimize what is shared: facilities and your doctor receive clinically useful detail; personal contacts receive a brief notification only.

Advertising (free version)

The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which may collect your device's advertising ID and ad-interaction data. With your permission (the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS / consent on Android), ads may be personalized; otherwise you receive non-personalized ads. We never share your health information, profiles, location, or case details with advertising or analytics services. See policies.google.com/privacy.

Subscriptions

Optional Pro subscriptions are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store and managed through RevenueCat, which receives your purchase/subscription status (not your payment card details). See revenuecat.com/privacy and policies.google.com/privacy.

Medication lookups

Medication names you type into the optional online lookup are sent to the U.S. FDA's public openFDA API to return label information. These queries are not tied to your identity and are not stored against any profile.

Where facility information comes from

The app's offline facility list is built from public data: hospital data from the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS); urgent-care data from Homeland Infrastructure Foundation-Level Data (HIFLD); address coordinates from the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder. Live status and locations shown while online are © Google. Facility details may be out of date — always confirm before relying on them.

Children

The app is not directed at children and is intended for adults and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. You may store profiles for dependents (including children) for your own emergency use; this data stays on your device under your control.

Your choices & deletion

Security & changes

Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS). Profile data is encrypted at rest by your operating system's secure storage (Keychain / Keystore). We may update this policy; the "last updated" date will change accordingly.
